Cultural visit

The cultural visit consists of three activities.

16:00 - Visit to the "Palau de la Música Catalana". It is a music hall famous because it was designed by Lluís Domènech i Montaner, the master of Antoni Gaudí. More information

17:00 - A free walking tour in the Gothic quarter. You can freely follow the suggested tours enjoying the atmosphere of this ancient quarter. There are three walk options, short of about 45 minutes walk, medium of about 1:10 hours walk and long 1:30 hours walk. The medium and long tours go down to the harbour and return through the famous Rambla boulevard.
The three walking tours can be followed with google maps clicking in the next tour link. They are marked in blue. You will find also green lines that you can consider to extend your tour.

20:00 - Gala dinner. After the free walking tour conference attendees must go to the meeting point in Casp street, 19, where the dinner will take place at the Mussol restaurant. All walking tours end at this meeting point.

WiFi connection

Barcelona has a network of free wifi hotspots in which you can have free internet access. In the walking tour map, labels identify the locations of these hotspots. In the streets you can locate these hotspots by searching the following posts.

Watch out pickpockets!

The touristic fame of Barcelona has also attracted a lot of pickpockets, specially in the most crowded areas like the Gothic neighbourhood. To keep you from any upset please follow these recommendations:

• Take only essential items out of the hotel.
• Don't use the back pockets of your trousers for mobiles or wallets.
• Keep an eye on your mobile phone at all times in busy areas, specially if you leave it on a table.
• If you use a hand bag use one with a long strap wear it across the front of your body, not hanging from your shoulder.
